Thamarai introduces Siva Kaneswaran

The festival begins with a bang.

A 75,000 strong crowd came to celebrate peace through music, with AR Rahman, his musicians and dancers.

In this 2010 Pongal special, Thamarai celebrates with the diaspora by showcasing India\’s most well known talent, the double Oscar winning Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman.

Itâ??s been a momentous year for Tamil MC, Mathangi Maya Arulpragasam aka M.I.A â?? she performed at the Grammyâ??s, had a baby and was nominated for the Oscars.
