
Tamil inspired drink with rasam wins big at London Beer Competition
A rasam flavoured Kombucha inspired by the culture of Tamil Nadu has won best Kombucha at the London Beer Competition 2025.
Kombucha is a fermented, slightly carbonated non-alcoholic drink made from tea, sugar, yeast, and good bacteria.
The company behind the winning Kombucha are Mumbai based SBOOCH, whose range of drinks competed against 40 other international entries.
They presented their range – Gor Keri, Koshimbir, Naga Pepper, Rice & Pandan, Tulsi & Lemon, and Rasam. Standing out for the judges was their bold, Rasam-flavoured brew!
Rasam, a comforting staple in Tamil homes across generations, has now been reimagined as a refreshing, sparkling, probiotic drink brewed with all natural ingredients, for wellness lovers around the world.
