London based Tamil dance academy JRDA, founded by choreographer & dancer Jeya Raveendran, marked their 10th anniversary on Sunday evening at the Broadway theatre in Catford, London.

Jeya Raveendran Dance Academy (JRDA) is the one of the largest, and longest running Tamil & South Indian dance academies in the UK, teaching 300 hundred students weekly. The Academy is committed to building a stronger, more confident young individual, in tune to their culture using the power of music and dance.

To mark this momentous milestone Jeya Raveendran and his team hosted two events – a dinner & dance in October, followed by the annual flagship event, JRDA Live.
This year’s JRDA Live featured glitz, glamour and nostalgia. Audiences at the sold out event were captivated by student performances, exhibitions acts by past students, and a finale down memory lane. The event was compered by Nisha & Braha, and featured a live performance by London based vocalist Srini.

Jeya & his wife Mayuri, both passionate dancers and teachers, have dedicated their time, skills and resources to not just building Tamil dance stars of the future, they have helped their students build friendships, confidence & discipline which will help them through life. The community they have built is a testament to their hard work, perseverance and unwavering dedication to their students across the UK.
Thamarai are delighted to support JRDA as media partners for these events. We wish Jeya, Mayuri, their teachers and students the very best.
