A collective of Switzerland based Tamil dancers have been crowned winners of World of Dance Switzerland.
The group “Echoes of Roots” performed a routine which incorporated Barathanatyam (Tamil classical dance) and kuthu (Tamil folk dance) – choreographed by @jkredu & @mithuxjanu which showcased the beauty of their roots in Tamil culture.
“We are beyond grateful to announce this unforgettable achievement, and it was our first time competing at one of the biggest competitions in the world.”

Established in 2008, World of Dance is the largest global dance competition showcasing the world’s most elite dancers. The series features regional dance competitions in over 25 countries, with the top dancers from each event invited to compete in the World Championships in Los Angeles.
The Tamil dancers will be heading to Los Angeles to represent Switzerland, putting Tamil dance styles in front of millions of international viewers, on a highly acclaimed global platform.
