Shadows of Silence

The short film, ‘Shadows of silence’ which was recently selected for Directors Fortnight (Quinzaine des Realisateurs) 2010 and screened at Cannes film festival, will be screening at the Raindance film festival in London on October 8th and the Chicago International Film festival on October 12th.

Directed by young Tamil director Pradeepan Raveendran, the Tamil language film was shot in France and is about the experience of life in exile, explored through one man’s surreal nightmares and illusions.

Pradeepan’s previous short film, ‘A mango tree in the front yard’ about the conflict in Sri Lanka and its impact on civilian life was selected for the 59th short film festival held in Berlin.
