Shruti in remake of Dad’s classic movie
The beautiful Star kid Shruti Haasan is a happy person these days; she is currently busy with her Telugu debut opposite Siddharth, which is expected to be an epic-fantasy and she has been picked by by Disney’s Indian wing, for another South Indian venture. After that, she will make a dream debut in Kollywood with Suriya and Ghajini director A.R. Murugadoss in their next film.
The latest buzz is that the starlet is all set to star in the remake of dad Kamal Haasan’s yesteryear super hit movie Sigappu Rojakkal. The original version was directed by veteran Bharathiraja, while sources say that the modern version will be made by his son Manoj (the star of Taj Mahal), with Shakthi as the hero opposite Shruti.
Actors do their homework
Whatever role an actor plays, they always research in to their character so they can always give their best output. For instance, let us look at actor Cheran.
He has been making regular visits to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Chennai. Why? Well the actor is playing a CBI officer in Director Mysskin’s film which is supposed to be a sequel to the his last hit “Anjathey” starring Naren and Ajmal.
We heard that Cheran is learning their working style so he can replicate the same in the film.
Previously Suriya and Sneha had spent time with the police for their respective films “Kaakha Kaakha” and “Bhavani”
Gautham and Murugadoss go Hollywood!
Hollywood production houses have picked two of India’s top directors to make four films for them in a year.
Firstly Gautham Menon (Vinnaithandi Varuvaya) is one of the lucky directors who has signed a deal with an yet to be named Hollywood production house. Not only will the director start to direct a film for them, but he will let upcoming directors do take care of some films under his supervision.
Gautham Menon who is in the final schedule of his film starring his assistant Veera and Sameera Reddy, is gearing up for this big project, following his National Award win for Vaaranam Aayiram.
The other lucky mascot is Director AR Murugadoss (Dheena, Ghajini). The director is planning to start his first film with Warner Brothers as it’s South Indian representative. As per plans Murugadoss will direct the first film for Warner Brothers himself.
Both directors are planning to open this opportunity up to new and upcoming directors.
Editor becomes Director
I’m talking about Editor Antony, who has worked on movies like Ghajini, Sivaji and even the latest Vinaithaandi Varuvaaya. Apart from editing, Antony has a passion to direct films and now he will be fulfilling his dream. Yes! Editor Antony is going to be Director Antony. Antony has three stories ready and now he has to choose one, with the help of Director Vijay.
Antony has worked with all the leading actors so he has no hesitations in roping any of them for his debut film. News on the grapevine, is that talks are happening with the green eyed actor Arya (Naan Kadavul, Sarvam).
So does that mean there will be no more “Editor” Antony? “No” says Antony as editing has been part of his life and he would never leave the job even if he became a successful director.
