Amma music video – Karthik Ft My-Kal

Here is the recently released music video for ‘Amma,’ a Thai Pongal special release from Funky Maple.

Sung by Indian playback singer Karthik and Canadian based singer My-Kal, Amma is based on a poem titled, ‘Aasai Mugham’, which is written by Mahakavi Bharathiyar.

It is said that that Bharathiyar wrote this poem while being despaired over not finding a picture of his late mother. Thus, the concept was born for the creation of this music video. “Amma” is a tribute to all the mothers in the world.

The music has been produced by Pravin Mani is a long time associate of the Oscar winning music director A.R. Rahman. Canadian director Pras Lingam was tasked with shooting thel music video.

“Amma” is the second official release by Pravin’s and Pras’ production house, Funky Maple Studios Canada.
