LEBARA UKAMA’s Launch

Photos from the launch party of the LEBARA UK Asian Music Awards, held last night at Alto in London’s West End. Attended by many in the UK Asian music scene including Raghav & up and coming Urban / Kollywood producer Charles Bosco. The party was hosted by BBC Radio 1’s DJ Nihal & by the lovely actress and singer Karen David. After several years at the Royal Festival Hall, the 2011 award’s ceremony moves to the Roundhouse in Camden, London. Ratheesh Yoganathan’s LEBARA Mobile are once again the title sponsors, committing their support for the Asian music scene. They also sponsored this year’s UK leg of the AR Rahman’s Jai ho concerts and the Music of Black origin (MOBO) Awards . Performing at last night’s launch were artists including Sonna Rele, Jag, Foji, Juggy D & Parichay. The event is now in its 9th year, with nominations in by February and the awards to be held in March 2011.
