Hosted by Hollywood stars Denzel Washington & Anne Hathaway, the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize Concert took place in Norway on Saturday 11th December, honoring this year’s winner Liu Xiaobo, alongside veterans like Herbie Hancock.
Performing at the high-profile event were several celebrated musicians, including Barry Manilow, India.Arie, Jamiroquai and the Maestro of Madras himself – AR Rahman. ARR performed two tracks from the soundtrack for "Slumdog Millionaire"; the movie that gained him worldwide recognition. Alongside the amazing Sitar player Asad Khan, AR Rahman played an improvised version of "Escape". After an interview with renowned actor Denzel Washington, he returned for a performance of "Jai Ho" alongside Shweta Pandit, Tanvi Shah, Neeti Muhan and backing dancers.
