Hot on the steps of “Never Have I Ever” and “The Kandasamys”, the soon to be released “Pradeeps of Pittsburg” follows the lives of a South Asian family (most likely Tamil) in the diaspora.
The Amazon Prime series, out on October 17th, features a cast of talented Tamil actors in the lead roles – including London based comedian Sindhu Vee, young British theatre star Ashwin Sakthivel, 16 year old American Tamil Arjun Sriram and Texas based comedian Sahana Srinivasan (who will also be in the Simpson’s remake). Also starring is multi-award winning British Keralan actor Naveen Andrews, who rose to fame with the hit series Lost.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios, The Pradeeps of Pittsburg, the modern-day immigrant story inspired by the personal experiences of Black-ish producer Vijal Patel, follows the Pradeep family and the humorous events of their first few months after moving to America from India.
