Shini Muthukrishnan announced as 43rd Blue Peter Presenter

Tamil born, social media sensation Shini Muthukrishnan from Staffordshire is the newest member of Blue Peter.

Shini will be making her live television debut as the 43rd presenter on the world’s longest-running children’s TV show this Friday 19th January on CBBC & BBC iPlayer at 5.00pm.

Born in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, 22 year-old Shini is a content creator who has built up a large social media following since lockdown with videos celebrating her British, Indian and Malaysian Tamil heritage, including her love of Chai!

“Being part of the Blue Peter team is such a surreal and exciting feeling. It’s my first time on the big screen and I can’t wait for all the adventures to come!” Shini said as she was unveiled as the 43rd Blue Peter presenter on Monday.”
