South Indian dancer-choreographer-actor-director (phew!) Prabhu Deva has paid his respects to legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in the form of a song entitled "Dhool Tucker". The multi-talented star is currently gearing up for the release of India’s first 3D dance film "Any Body Can Dance (ABCD)".
To the dismay of many cricket fans, Tendulkar announced his retirement from One Day International matches towards the end of 2012, and Prabhu Deva took to Twitter to voice his disappointment, saying "Sachin Tendulkar a Living Legend retires from ODI.Wat a memorable journey its been! So many victories he’s set new records…He will be missed. [sic]"
Directed by Arvind Ramalingam, and with music composed by LV Ganesan, "Dhool Tucker" is a full on dappankoothu track with lyrics in "Indian-ised" English. The video has been launched by health drink "Boost", and praises not only Tendulkar, but also Virender Sehwag and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
