Pongal release for Samar

The December release of action film "Samar" never happened, but it looks like the film will definitely be out for Pongal, on January 13th.

Director Thiru Tweeted "Contrary to speculations n rumours, #Samar releasin big worldwide on 13th in both Tamil & Telugu," and the film’s leading lady Trisha confirmed this on her Twitter account as well.

Actor Vishal stars opposite Trisha in this film, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and Sunaina and Jayaprakash are also part of the cast. Below is the video for the song "Vellai Maiyil":

After much uncertainty about when the film will hit the big screen, it seems that the delay in the release of Kamal Haasan’s "Vishwaroopam" has proved beneficial to the Samar team.
