Are you applying to university this year? Need someone to read over your personal statement? Someone who has not only gone through the whole system, but is also doing the same course, at the university you want to apply to? Then this event is for you!
Run by the Tamil Students Initiative (TSI), a collaboration of University Tamil Societies from all over the UK, this workshop is open to any prospective university student in Year 13 or current university students applying for any course this year. This is the 4th year that this workshop has been running, with the past three years being a huge success!
————————–
The purpose of this event would be to provide course-specific and university-specific advice to students who are looking to apply to a certain course/university. For example, if a student is applying to Medicine and wants to go Kings, they can talk directly to a Kings Med student about the university, the course, and what to write on their personal statement for an allocated amount of time. This is a great service we, as students, can give you – passing on our knowledge to the youth to aid your progression into Higher Education.
————————–
It is strongly advised to bring a draft personal statement to get the most out of the workshop. While it is advisable to come in early, this is a drop in event – you do not need to be there for the entire time, anytime you are free from 12pm – 3pm make your way down. This event will be held on the 17th September at KCL, Guy’s Campus, Hodgkin Building. Closest Station – London Bridge. If you are applying to university this year – do not miss out!
