Track of the week is from a new film called Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal. The film is directed by Vasanth who gave us "Rhythm" and "Sathum podathey."
The film is a multi-starrer with action King Arjun, director cum actor Cheran and Vimal in the male leads, whilst new comers Muktha, Surveen and Lasini as female leads.
At the film’s audio launch, actor Arjun said that he has an interest in doing non-action films now and again, especially since Rhythm, he is happy to grab that opportunity in Kollywood again with this beautiful scripted film. If you want to see Arjun in another family friendly movie, watch "Prasad" a Kannada film where Arjun is at his best
Music for Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal is taken care by Junior Maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has been giving us non-stop hits throughout 2012. I’ve lost count of how many releases he’s had this year!
The track is called Aaha Kadhal, sung by Nandini Srikar. It is a different composition to the usual Yuvan songs we have heard in the past. I would describe it as a Carnatic Fusion track with a lot of soul throughout. By far my favourite track of the album. Nandini’s voice is new and refreshing and Na. Muthukumar’s poetic lyrics will appeal to all.
Keep your eyes peeled for this romantic family entertainer, which will hopefully signal the beginning of more multi-starrers to come in the near future.
