The renowned Tamil lyricist and the lady behind the song Vaseegara, from Gautham Menon’s very first film, Minnale (with R Madhavan) graced the audio launch of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya with her powerful presence.
Stepping into snow clad London, alongside a team of 40, from Chennai, all of whom worked on Gautham Menon’s latest venture, with Simbu and Trisha, Thamarai graces our magazine, her namesake. Indeed a privilege for the Thamarai team.
The audio preview of Vinnaithaandi varuvaaya, for which the likes of it’s music director, the Academy award winner, AR Rahman and a group of South India’s finest musicians, alongside actors Simbu and Trisha was a resounding success, at the prestigious and historic BAFTA venue.
AR Rahman, who won a BAFTA, came back to this venue, his first Tamil film since his double Oscar win. A historic audio preview for Indian cinema, the empowered and brilliant lyricist, Thamarai was welcomed warmly by a select London audience.
