Indian singer-songwriter Neha Bhasin is making a comeback in the music industry, with the imminent release of her new album “Tabaah”. Hailing from Delhi, North India, Neha first made her mark on the music world when she won “Coca [V] Popstars” – a television music talent competition – and became a member of the girl band “Viva!”. After the band split, Neha entered the world of playback singing in both Hindi and Tamil. She won the Reliance Mobile Vijay TV Best Female Playback Award for “Pesugiren Pesugiren” from the 2007 Tamil thriller “Satham Podathey”. After this she worked with music director Yuvan Shankar Raja several more times, notably for the sensuous “Sei Yethaavathu” from actor Ajith’s “Billa” and in 2009 on the track “Yogi Yogi Thaan” with rapper Blaaze, from the film “Yogi”.
Neha’s upcoming album is entitled “Tabaah” which means “destroy” in Urdu, and she describes it as being a fusion album that encapsulates all aspects of her life and who she is as a person. The album will also have one Tamil track! There will be two versions of the song “Apple Bottoms”, one in Hindi and one in Tamil – the latter of which was penned by Kavi Varman. Be sure to check out Neha’s YouTube channel where she has posted a videos outlining her experiences and how she got into shape for the “Apple Bottoms” video, which has been shot in Ukraine. It will be the first song to be released from the album, and it looks like it’s going to be one HOT track!
“Tabaah” is due to be released next week, so be sure to keep an eye out for it in stores everywhere.
