Superstar’s son-in-law with Young Super Star.
There was always a thought or rumour of a war going between Dhanush and Silambarasan in the film industry, but both actors have made it clear to the public that they are very good friends. In fact, Dhanush has mentioned that if a powerful script where both actors had meaty roles was to evolve, he would have no hesitation to share the screen space with Simbu.
But most of all, will the producer have enough to pay their salaries?
Gautham Menon chooses Sameera again!
Sameera Reddy has signed her 3rd film and that too with Gautham Vasudev Menon. It was Gautham who introduced the stunning actress in Varanam Aayiram. The film is titled ‘Chennaiyil Oru Mazhai Kaalam.’ Initially this film had started its early photo shoots with Suriya and Asin many years ago. Then Trisha had replaced Asin, but now it seems that the only cast for the film till now is Sameera. Just like Gautham’s previous films, this thrilling story is quite different as we get to see Sameera as a commercial sex worker. The film is to be completed after the release of “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.” In the meantime Sameera is getting good reviews from her recent release “Asal” with Ajith.
Sivakasi, Pokiri…and then?
These two films had Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Asin sharing the screen and both films were super hits. It seems Asin is returning to Kollywood after a long gap since she was busy in Bollywood with Ghajini, which was a box office hit and London Dreams which did not do so well. Director Siddique, who did “Friends” with Vijay and Suriya will be directing this new flick. He will be remaking his own Malayalam hit “Bodyguard” in Tamil. The Malayalam version had Dileep and Nayanthara in the cast. Till then Vijay is nearly finishing off with his 50th film “Sura.”
National Award winning Director meets National Award winning Actor
That’s right! Director Bala will be directing Vikram in his next film. There has been no news about the script but whatever it is, Vikram is definitely working with his favourite director. It was Director Bala who really brought acting skills in Vikram in Sethu and Pithamagan. Bala is currently busy with “Avan Ivan” with Vishal and Arya whilst Vikram is busy with director Selvaragavan’s film.
Endhiran in 3D
Director Shankar is doing whatever it takes to get the film from being released online before it hit the screens. The only way he can persuade people to watch the film at the cinema is by having the scenes in 3D. This is probably the first Tamil movie to have this effect. A demo of the film has been seen by Director Shankar with the help of experts on the economics of converting the film into a 3D film and he is highly impressed with the outcome.
So let me get things straight…Director Shankar, Superstar Rajinikanth, Rajinikanth as a robot, Aishwariya Rai, A.R.Rahman, 3D… I think I’m going to pass out.
