Director Gautham Menon‘s Tamil film ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’ (Will you cross the skies and come?), starring Simbu and Trisha, was a massive hit internationally. The film won several awards, in particular for the hugely popular soundtrack scored by the one and only A. R. Rahman.
Now the film is going to be remade in Hindi, with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson taking the lead roles. Though Gautham Menon didn’t reprise his role as director when Kaakha Kaakha was remade (as Force), he is at the helm of ‘Ek Deewana Tha’. Critically-acclaimed music director A. R. Rahman will be composing the songs and background score for the film which is due to be released in early 2012. Check out the trailer below:
