Summer is more than just the sunny season – it’s wedding season, and we often ourselves are attending one wedding after another. One invite I hope to get is from music director GV Prakash, who officially announced his wedding date for June 27th. The young music director will be marrying singer Saindhavi who he has known since he was a student at school! The wedding will be a huge affair with all the top celebrities attending and of course G. V. Prakash’s uncle A. R. Rahman side hosting the wedding.
Although GV Prakash was present in the Tamil music scene as a singer all the way back in the 1993 for the song "Chikku Bukku Rayile", it was the film "Veyil" that marked his debut as a music director in 2006. GV Prakash has since been involved in composing for some of Kollywood’s top budget films as well as in Tollywood and Sandalwood. His debut in Bollywood was for Akshay Kumar’s sci-fi film "Joker" which was released last year.
Saindhavi has had many hit songs during the course of her career, including her debut track "Randakka" from "Anniyan," "Ye Durra" from the film "Aadhi" as well as "Aaruyire" from the hit film "Madrasapattinam."
As our Throwback Thursday, I’ve decided to choose a song from A. L. Vijay’ film "Madrasapattinam" which is composed by G. V. Prakash and has vocals by Sonu Nigam and Saindhavi herself. Check it out below:
