US-based musician Sid Sriram recently released a new track from “Before Dusk”, the first part of his upcoming two-part project “West Coast Nightfall”.
Entitled “Winter Mind”, the edgy track has been written, produced and performed by Sid himself. “This process of releasing my creativity into the world is amazing,” Tweeted the singer when he released the track online. He later added that a video for the song would be releasing soon.
Originally from Chennai, the musician was brought up in the US where he gained a degree from the Berklee College of Music. His musical roots lie in the Carnatic (South Indian classical) style, and he sometimes incorporates its influences into his more contemporary sound.
He recently worked with world-renowned music director AR Rahman for the song “Adiye” from Mani Ratnam’s film “Kadal” – an experience he described as being a “dream come true“, in an exclusive interview with Thamarai.com!
