Have a listen to Will.i.am’s latest single which he co-wrote with mullti-award winning Indian composer AR Rahman. Birthday features the instantly recognisable sampled melody from the 1994 Tamil hit “Urvasi Urvasi”, produced by AR Rahman for the Tamil language (Kollywood) film Kadhalan. Is the release timed to celebrate Urvasi’s 20th Birthday? We like to think so!

Birthday has been co-produced by Damien LeRoy and features the vocals of teenager Cody Wise. Keith Harris (Robin Thicke’s Feel Good) has also helped pen the lyrics. The song is out on the 6th July. Click here to have a listen to the snippet.
