Arjun and Anirudh Ravichander?

It’s great to see that UK-based musician Arjun’s latest video has clocked up almost 70,000 views in a few short days! The track is a remix of AR Rahman’s popular “Chaiyya Chaiyya” with Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass”, and is one of a number of remixes that this talented musician has done.

He revealed on his Facebook that his first official mainstream single will be out next month, which is great news! It has been a while since an “Arjun original” – the last one (“With Us or Against Us” with Jaymo) came out in January 2012. The singer-songwriter has been busy since then though, having performed all over the world and even venturing into the Indian cinema industry with fellow UK musician Charles Bosco; the two have been working on something for the Tamil film “Biriyani”.

We were excited to see the following Tweet a few days ago:

Anirudh Ravichander is the music director who brought us the viral hit “Why This Kolaveri Di?” – a track which Arjun then did an English RnB cover of, and thus became a viral hit himself! Anirudh has since composed music for a number of Tamil films including “3” and “Ethir Neechal”. We’re not sure what project the track mentioned in the Tweet is for, but we’re intrigued – what sort of track could he have composed that would be perfect for Arjun’s voice?
