\”Raining in my heart,\” says Dhanush

"Why This Kolaveri Di?", the viral hit of 2011, may not have been the most well-written song ever, but it’s overnight success has proved useful for the song’s star Dhanush; it was key in getting him noticed up North, and now he is working on his debut Bollywood film "Raanjhnaa"!

The film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol, and award-winning music director AR Rahman is the man behind the film’s soundtrack.

Dhanush Tweeted a few days ago saying "Right now in 7 degrees cold kasi finishing raanjhanaa.shooting for a r rahman sirs title track [sic]". The actor also took to his account to confirm the release date for the film as being June 28th, 2013. Also in the pipeline for the actor next year are two Tamil films: "Mariyaan" opposite Parvathi Menon  (for which AR Rahman is composing the music), and "Ethir Neechal" with Priya Anand.

It seems the actor has been hugely impressed with one of the tracks from the Raanjhnaa album, as yesterday he Tweeted "Its raining in my heart with a r rahman’s new song for raanjhanaa. Absolutely brilliant. Cant wait for you guys to listen to it. [sic]"

It certainly sounds interesting, and we can’t wait to hear the songs when they are released!

Not many South Indian actors have been hugely successful in Bollywood. Do you think Dhanush could change that trend?
