Open Conversation: The Taboo of Sexual Abuse is brought to you in collaboration with ANBU (Abuse Never Becomes Us) UK, KCL Tamil Society & Southampton Tamil Society.
This thought-provoking evening looks to introduce the UK branch of a charitable organisation called ANBU (Abuse Never Becomes Us). ANBU aspires to transform the Tamil community, providing a voice for Tamil people who have been impacted by childhood sexual abuse and create a space for support and compassion in the Tamil community.
Childhood sexual abuse in the Tamil community – it happens.
The topic of discussion will be about the impact of childhood sexual abuse in adulthood and plans for the capacity to support and heal in the UK. There will also be a panel discussion with psychological, medical and legal professionals as well as an opportunity to explore non-traditional approaches to healing during the event.
Through pushing for open conversations in turn it can catalyse personal and social transformations in our community, with your support we can create an ANBU Movement!
