Tamil women & south asian creativity took centre stage at V&A Lates

The Victoria & Albert Museum’s monthly late-night event teamed up with Diet Paratha for a special programme, “Legacy in Motion”, celebrating some of the pioneers of South Asian talent.

Highlights included:

Harri – The Kerala-born menswear designer showcased the largest inflatable dress ever created.

Usha Jey – The Eelam Tamil choreographer and her team performed a powerful Hybrid Bharatham* piece to Tupac’s “Do For Love”, blending the precision of Bharatanatyam with hip-hop’s rhythm.

Supriya Lele in conversation with Divya Venkataraman – A deep dive into the aspirations and challenges of South Asian designers.

LEmmanuel Lawal & Ashton Gogol (AUDIOCOMINGSOON)– Their genre-blending DJ set brought old-school nostalgia with fresh new sounds.
