Ang Lee in Chennai

Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee is in Chennai today, as part of his promotions for upcoming film "Life of Pi". The film is an adaptation of Yann Martel’s novel of the same name, and tells the story of Pi (played by Suraj Sharma), who grows up in Pondicherry, South India, where his dad owns a zoo.

The promo event took place at the Sathyam Cinema complex in Chennai, and a few scenes from the film were screened for the audience. The director – who brought us blockbusters such as Brokeback Mountain and Hulk – was impressed by Sathyam Cinemas, saying that its projection system is among the best he’s seen in the world. High praise indeed from the renowned movie-maker!
