Regarded as one of the best actresses in Indian cinema, Sridevi announced her comeback to cinema in early 2011 at the IIFA Awards in Toronto. A year on and here is the teaser to her new film English Vinglish directed by Gauri Shinde. She plays an Indian woman married to an American household who enrols in an English learning program to please her family. The film is to be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu later on in the year. Born in Tamil Nadu, Sridevi has starred in over 150 films since her career started in 1967 at the tender age of 4! During her early years she starred in several Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada as the lead actress alongside legends including Kamal Hassan & Rajnikanth. She has won four Filmfare Awards—two for Hindi films, and one each for Tamil (Meendum Kokila 1984) and Telugu (Kshanan Kshanam 1991) films. This film marks the comeback of Sridevi after a 14 year break, to raise her children. At 49 years of age, she looks stunning and remains an inspiration to many in the industry.
