Agent Vinod gets going!
The ‘slick’ spy thriller Agent Vinod, starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor has gone on floors. This comes after the stupendous success of  Illuminati Films and Eros International’s Love aaj Kal. Real life couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor join hands yet again and Tamilian director Sriram Raghavan (Johnny Gaddar) takes reigns. The shoot will take place in cities like  Mumbai, Morocco, Amsterdam, London, Prague and Delhi and this film will not be a remake of the 1977 film of the same name. Says the director: “It is a realistic film and not a spoof or comic James Bond. It is full of action pieces, thrills, and characters.” A 2011 release is expected.

Kingfisher model in Rockstar
Speaking of Love Aaj Kal, it’s successful director, Imtiaz Ali, introduced the stunning Brazilian supermodel Giselli Monteiro to much lauded success. This time, for his next project Rockstar, with double Oscar and Grammy winning AR Rahman, he has picked New York based half Pakistani, half Czech supermodel Nargis Fakhri. The 21 year old New York raised beauty and Kingfisher calendar girl has been cast opposite heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor (Wake up Sid).

K Jo surprise B’day bash
Karan Johar (K Jo), whose life is all about the Bollywood fraternity, turned 38 and his filmi friends threw him a surprise party at the home of Sanjay Kapoor. While K Jo, who was in New York said: “silence is the biggest gift one can gift oneself,” upon his arrival in Mumbai, he was surrounded by his friends, Manish Malhotra, Niranjan Iyengar, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and his wife, Gauri Khan. K Jo was his usual ebullient self while telling the paparazzi: "Thirty eight and I have never felt better!"

Cover girl – Nethra Raghuraman
The beautiful model Nethra Raghuraman is on the cover of  Harper’s Bazaar India, in the June edition. She has acted in a few Bollywood flicks and lights up the ramp with her dazzling ramp skills. She was photographed by Diego Fuga for this particular cover, which sees some beautiful golden tones. She rose to fame after winning the ‘Look of the Year’ contest winner for Femina magazine in 1997.

FIFA gets a Bollywood touch
Salim and Sulaiman Merchant, the music composer brothers, of films like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will be teaming up with South African RnB South African singers, Loyiso Bala and Eric Wainaina for the opening ceremony of FIFA on 10 June, 2010, at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg. The FIFA anthem is penned by Salim’s wife, Jeanne, who is also a musician. Says Sulaiman “After Rahman broke all western barriers, there has been a lot of respect for Indian musicians. However, there was always respect – this has simply shot up.” The will also perform the hit song ‘Shukran Allah’ from Kurbaan, with the South African singers. There are also rumours that ‘lady of the moment’, Kareena Kapoor, will be in the video, alongside Hollywood hero Matt Damon. Both Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan are rooting for Brazil to win, via Twitter.

Angelina Jolie will speak Tamil
Famous philanthropist and actress Angelina Jolie will be seen speaking a few lines of Tamil in her brand new, hugely anticipated action thriller Salt. It is directed by Phillip Noyce, written by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland, and stars Angelina Jolie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Liev Schreiber. While Tom Cruise was initially secured for the lead, he was unable to commit to the role because of commitments to other projects, the script was ultimately rewritten for Jolie. Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, accused of being a KGB sleeper agent, on the run, hopping through many countries, to try and clear her name. Have a look at the exhilarating trailer below.
