Sid Sriram – Elevate (Music Video)

US-based musician Sid Sriram just released the music video for his track “Elevate” from the Daydream EP (click here to read the review). The Berklee College of Music graduate is currently in Chennai where he has been performing during the December Classical Music Season, and working on promo for the track “Adiye” which features in the soundtrack for upcoming Tamil film “Kadal”.

Speaking exclusively to Thamarai about the captivating visuals in the video, Sid says: “The song is very personal, and I wanted to display a rawness of a performance, but with a kind of lo-fi, retro aesthetic to accentuate it.“

The original version of “Elevate” was a bonus track on the Daydream EP, and featured a rap portion by Aziz Francois. In the video version, however, Sid has replaced the rap verse with a spoken word section performed by himself “to really hone in on the fact that this song is about personal journey“.
