Shankar works with Lord of The Rings team!

Director Shankar is currently working with Chiyaan Vikram for his upcoming film "I". The Enthiran director’s new film has music by AR Rahman, so already some pretty big names are involved. Now it has been revealed that the film also involves New Zealand-based, Oscar-award winning conceptual design group, Weta Workshop.

The team at Weta Workshop have worked on costumes and designs for blockbuster movies including The Lord of the Rings, Avatar and The Hobbit. Shankar has said that for one of the songs in "I", Vikram’s costume was taken care of by a member of the Weta Workshop team, and already fans are excited to see the outcome.

Shankar is no stranger to working with big names from Hollywood, having roped in the renowned Stan Winston studios for his last film, Rajinikanth’s "Enthiran". The Stan Winston studios have previously worked on films such as "Jurassic Park" and "Batman Returns".

The film also stars British beauty Amy Jackson, who worked with Vikram for the 2012 film "Thaandavam". Click here to watch our exclusive interview with the stars whilst they were in London.

It sounds like Shankar has a lot up his sleeve for "I"…we wonder if it will blow "Enthiran" out of the water!
