Ode to Big B in Bombay Talkies

Bombay Talkies is an upcoming Hindi anthology film made up for 4 short films directed by Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar. The film is expected to be released on May 3rd 2013 to mark the centenary of Indian cinema. The first full-length Indian feature film – a silent Marathi film entitled "Raja Harishchandra" – was released on May 3rd, 1913.

Earlier today, a song from the film was released. "Give It Up For Bachchan" composed by Amit Trivedi and sung by Sukhwinder Singh is an ode to one of Bollywood’s biggest icons: Amitabh Bachchan. The video features young kids dressing up as characters from different films starring Big B. Check it out below: 

The project features several leading Bollywood stars including Rani Mukherjee, Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan. Each short film is centred around the idea that Indian cinema is an important of every Indian, playing a role in inspiring, uniting and influencing people from all walks of life.
