I for India is very pleased to present a UK tour for the acclaimed theatre and film personality Crazy Mohan and his drama troupe Crazy Creations!

Crazy Mohan needs no introduction to a Tamil native, but to the few uninitiated he is an Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter and playwright. An engineer by profession, Mohan started writing stage plays and established his own drama troupe “Crazy Creations” in 1979. In addition to dramas and tele-serials, he has worked as a dialogue writer on a number of comedy films especially with Kamal Hassan, which include Sathi Leelavathi, Kaadhala Kaathala, Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Apoorva Sagodharargal, Avvai Shanmugi, Panchathanthiram, Thenaali and Vasool Raja MBBS. He has written over 30 plays and worked in over 40 films (with cameo roles in many of them), and written 100 short stories. His brother Maadhu Balaji, who is also an actor, plays the hero in most of his dramas.

The flagship play for the UK tour would be Chocolate Krishna, one of the biggest blockbuster plays from Crazy Creations. Chocolate Krishna revolves around the protagonist Maadhu, a sales executive in a company that manufactures chocolates and who despite his hard work does not get rewarded appropriately. The play takes dramatic turn when Lord Krishna himself comes to the rescue of his staunch devotee Maadhu. This drama has been staged for a record number of over 800 shows.

The second play on the UK tour is Meesai Aanalum Manaivi, again a hilarious play which revolves around Maadhu and the embarrassing situations he gets into from his frequent but harmless lies. What begins as a harmless lie to protect his job turns life miserable for Maadhu. Mythili, the spinster from Delhi who is madly in love with Maadhu, unaware of his marital status, compounds his misery. The hero has now to save his job and his marriage, making up for several ingredients of a rip roaring classic comedy!
