Pongal Feast is back at Gopal’s Corner in London, celebrating Thai Pongal, Tamil Heritage Month and Veganuary.

On Saturday 14th January 2023, Gopal’s Corner & Market Halls are hosting a bottomless vegan ‘Pongal Feast’ at their branch in Oxford Street, London.

This annual event is to mark Veganuary, Tamil Heritage Month in London, and Thai Pongal – the Tamil Harvest Festival, celebrated by 70 million people across South India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and afar.

Gopal’s Corner will be serving a traditional Tamil vegetarian feast, typically served during Thai Pongal. Banana leaves will be piled high with four vegan or vegetarian curries and all the trimmings – including appalam (poppadom), dried chilies, relish, vadai (spicy savoury snack) and Pongal (traditional rice pudding). Everything will be unlimited for the ultimate feasting experience!

There will be four ticketed feasting sessions throughout the day. Tickets cost £15 and seats are only available when booked in advance.

12 till 1.30pm 

2pm till 3.30pm 

4pm till 5.30pm 

6pm till 7.30pm
