TAP, the Tamil Association of Professionals are delighted to be hosting actress and former city financier, Amara Karan at their next event on Tuesday, 13 February 2018 in London.
Amara will be discussing her career journey to date and how she became one of the few Tamils in the film industry. Amara studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Oxford and initially followed a “proper” career path working in the City in mergers & acquisitions, before she “horrified” her parents by giving it all up to attend drama school.
Amara has featured in various films including St Trinians and The Darjeeling Limited as well as in British and American television such as Doctor Who, The Bill and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man, not to mention the award-winning, critically-acclaimed The Night Of with Riz Ahmed.
The event will be held at The Big Ideas Space (3rd Floor), CHI & Partners, 7 Rathbone Street, London W1T 1LY. Drinks and canapés will be served.
Please secure your place via the button above as the event is likely to fill up quickly and venue security require registration of all guests. Please do invite interested colleagues, friends and family.
