Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter yesterday to voice his opinion on AR Rahman’s work for "Kadal", the Kollywood industry, and the Tamil language in general.
"ஹலà¯? …. à®?லà¯à®²à¯?à®°à¯à®®à¯ à®?பà¯à®ªà®?ி à®?à®°à¯à®?à¯à®?à¯à®®à¯ … மரியாதà¯?யà¯à®®à¯ à®?னà¯à®ªà¯à®®à¯ [Hello, how is everyone? Love and respect]," began the actor. He then went on to talk about music from the Tamil scene, saying that he tried singing some himself, and found it hard! Big B (as he is also known) then praised AR Rahman’s "exceptional" compositions Kadal.
The B-town icon then sent out another Tweet in Tamil, saying that Kollywood had big studios in operation from the early days, and is a more disciplined industry than Bollywood.
In the midst of his Tamil Tweets, Big B (as he is also known) switched to English briefly to say "It is Tamil…one of the most developed languages in Southern India .. its literature immense .. !! [sic]".
The actor is one of the most active Indian film stars on the social networking site, Tweeting primarily in English, and sharing not only his experiences as an actor, but his views on current affairs and personal incidents.
