VTV Competition winner

Yes ladies and gents, we kept true to our word and delivered!  We recently held a competition on Thamarai.com and our official facebook group to find a lucky winner for a pair of tickets to the exclusive audio launch of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya (VTV) in London. The venue was kept a secret till the last few days and only 200 VIP quests were invited.

The event was held on Saturday 19th December at the BAFTA in Piccadilly, with a plethora of celebrities including A R Rahman, Trisha, Simbu, Gautham Menon, Srinivas and Karthik to name a few.

The question was simple, who is the director of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya? The answer was Gautham Menon who also directed Kaaka Kaaka, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and Vaaranam Aayiram. With over 500 entries from across the globe, the winner was drawn by Simbu, the lead actor from the movie.

Tharmini Tharmaraja from London was the lucky winner. Tharmini was delighted to have won the tickets and invited her father along to share this once in a lifetime experience. We spoke to Tharmini after the event, this is what she had to say. ‘It’s such a great pleasure to see the legend AR Rahman. This memory will stay with me forever. I just felt like a dream came true. I would like to thank Thamarai.com for making this possible.’
