Madhavan says no to KFC!

Popular Indian actor Madhavan (Tamil : Alaipayuthey in 2000 or Hindi :  3 idiots in 2009)  , an ambassador for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), has recently sent a letter to fast-food chain KFC urging them to stop the abuse of chickens. "I am sure you’re a compassionate person who agrees that animals – whether they are dogs, cats or chickens – should not be abused," he wrote. "Please use your unique position to stop the worst abuses of these sensitive birds by making the improvements suggested." The actor, who is a vegetarian himself, then continued by highlighting some findings by PETA, where birds had been found severely injured, both internally and externally, due to their larger-than-normal size. The birds supplied to KFC are crammed into unsuitably small enclosures in filthy warehouses, and Maddy has been urging people to boycott the chain until it becomes more like KFC Canada; a leader in animal welfare reforms. The actor is well-known for his views on animal welfare reform, and stands alongside stars like Pamela Anderson and Drew Barrymore who also support PETA.
