This week I have chosen a track from the film "Yaaruda Mahesh."
The film consists of a cast of fresh, new budding actors with Sundeep Kishan in the lead. Starring opposite him as the heroine is Dimple Chopade, with Jagan, who you would have remembered as Surya’s friend in "Ayan" is in charge of the comedy.
The trailer has already been making waves across India with its quick background commentary that keeps you giggling throughout. The film is definitely for the youth says Director R. Madhan Kumar.
The song I have chosen is called Uyire Uyiril composed and sung by Gopi Sundar. The Music director, who is on third Tamil release after "Nandhanam" and "Poi Solla Porum" is already a recognised name in Mollywood, the Malayalam film industry. With over a dozen hits credited to his name, the music director can proudly add this album to his hit list too.
The song has been composed in a simple manner with just an acoustic guitar, a drum kit and keys, simple as that! As a musician, I would say no other instruments were required. Gopi’s voice reminds me of a younger Hariharan, which we used to hear a decade ago. Overall the song is a wonderful, relaxed composition.
