Today we celebrate Kollywood Music Director D. Imman‘s birthday, and to mark the occasion, the musician launched his website, http://immancomposer.com/. Here he is, talking about "Immanity":
The composer made his debut over a decade ago in the film "Kadhale Swasam". The Karthik-Meena starrer’s soundtrack was full of peppy numbers, but the film was never released.
However, that didn’t stop D. Imman, and he made his ‘proper’ debut with Ilayathalapalathy Vijay’s "Thamizhan" in 2002. The film, which was a musical hit, also marked the debut of Priyanka Chopra as a leading lady…and as a singer – she sang in the song "Ullathai Killathe"!
So far, every single film for which Imman has composed always features his vocals on one of the tracks.
He has produced a number of hit songs right from his debut, including "Maatu Maatu" from "Thamizhan", "Hey Un Kaia Vechutu" from "Giri", and "Ennama Kannu" from "Thiruvilayadal Arambam". He most recently worked on the film "Kumki".
Below is a track from D. Imman’s first film composition "Kadhale Swasam". The melodious track is sung by Hariharan and Sujatha.
We at Thamarai would like to wish the talented musician a very Happy Birthday.
