Raja Kumari’s Music Video seamlessly combines bharatanatyam & Kolaveri Di

Growing up in California and raised in a South Indian family, Raja Kumari’s creations combine elements of her cultural heritage with Hip-hop.

Her latest music video “Believe in You”, taken from her upcoming album “The Come Up”, showcases the artists love for Indian classical dance, including Kuchipudi & Bharatanatyam, forms of classical dance from South India which she learnt at an early age. The interpolation of her lyrics with the popular Tamil film song “Why this Kolaveri Di” by Chennai based music producer Anirudh Ravichander into one piece, is seamless.

Signed to Epic records, Raja Kumari has worked with and written for Fall Out Boy’s, Iggy Azalea, Gwen Stefani, Fifth Harmony, Timberland.
