The Dewarists is a new television series that is being aired on Star World India. Featuring renowned musicians from all over the world, and defining itself as "a melting pot of all the sounds simmering under the mainstream", the series is part-documentary, part-travelogue made with the aim of bringing together game-changing artists from the music industry.
Episode 1 – "Minds Without Fear" – is set in the beautiful city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, and features Grammy-Award winning British artist Imogen Heap, and the esteemed Bollywood music duo Vishal-Shekhar. Together, they collaborate to produce a track inspired by the poem "Chitto Jetha Bhayshunyo" (‘Where The Mind Is Without Fear’) by Rabrindranath Tagore.
The track by Imogen Heap and Vishal-Shekhar is available for download on the Dewar’s India Facebook page (but only until the 23rd of October 2011). Check out Episode 1 below:
