Super Star gets Waxed!

After almost a decade of petitioning, London’s Madam Tussaud’s Museum is said to now be considering installing a wax replica of Tamil Super Star Rajinikanth! The museum is already home to some eminent Indian stars including Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. What’s more, on the 20th of January 2011, the museum will unveil its latest addition to the Bollywood section – a waxwork of actor Hrithik Roshan.

The request for the installation of SuperStar Rajinikanth is a long-standing one, with thousands of fans pledging support via fansites and online petitions. Should the installation go ahead, Super Star will be the first Indian actor from the South Indian film industry to be recognised by the museum. If approved, the question that will be on everyone’s lips is this: How should he be immortalised in wax? Should they base it on his off-screen look – bald and bearded? Or should his statue be based on one of his on-screen personas?
Let us know your thoughts on how the statue should look!
