Introducing The Nagore Boys. The trio is made up of Abdul Ghani, Ajah Maideen and Saburmaideen Babah Sabeer who are Sufi singers from Nagore in Tamil Nadu. We’re loving this latest video from IndiEarth featuring the Nagore Boys. Karunya Kadaasarae Haaja is a devotional song wiith Tamil lyrics, about the saint Hazrath Khwaja Garib Nawaz.

Sufi singers traditionally use music as a transcendental medium through which they reach a state of spiritual bliss, and listening to this song, it’s easy to see how the trance-like percussion accompaniment and melody help to achieve this state. 

The video is in memory of the late Saburmaideen Babah Sabeer, the eldest member of the trio, who passed away in 2012.
