Norway Tamil Film Festival 2013

Fifteen films have been selected for screening in the fourth Norway Tamil Film Festival to be held from April 24 to 28 in Oslo. The festival’s director, Vaseegaran Sivalingam told reporters that for the first time, film artistes would also participate in the festival, apart from directors and film technicians.

The event has manifested into a European Film Fest this year, as films will not only be screened in Oslo, but also in London and Berlin. The annual event, which has been getting bigger and bigger with each passing year, has been organised by the thriving  the Tamil population in Norway.

The films, all released last year, were chosen by a special panel. "All the films are chosen on merit and content. The star value did not come in the way, as the films were selected based on quality," Mr Vaseeharan said.

All the films are low budget films that were a hit at the box office. The films are : ‘Sundarapandiyan’, ‘Pizza’, ‘Vazhakku Enn 18/9’, ‘Attakkathi’, ‘Kumki’, ‘Sattai’, ‘Naduvil Konjam Pakkathai Kaanom’, ‘Doni’, ‘Raatinam’, ‘Neerparavai’, ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannaadi’, ‘Pudumugangal Thevai’, ‘Iniyavale Kaathiruppen’, ‘Eni Avan’ and ‘Sahara Pookkal’.
