London Indian Film Festival 2011

The London Indian Film Festival, launched in 2010, showcases the best Indian independent films at cinemas across London. This year the festival is from June 30th until July 12th, and a variety of films in a range of languages will be showcased every day, as well as Q&A sessions with key members of the teams involved in making these films. The final day involves the screening of the winning film in the Satyajit Ray Foundation International Short Film Competition. The competition involves the submission of short films from around the world, and after producing a short-list, the winner is chosen by a team of esteemed judges.

The Festival kicks off next week on June 30th with the world premiere of the much-anticipated Delhi Belly at Cineworld, Haymarket. Produced by India’s most celebrated and commercially successful actor, filmmaker and Academy Award-nominee Aamir Khan, Delhi Belly is a "crude and downright rude comedy caper" starring Imran Khan, Vijay Raaz, Kunal Roy Kapur, Poorna Jagannathan and Shenaz Treasurywala
