Telugu industry respects women more than Tamil, says Kajal!

Actress Kajal Aggarwal is a familiar face in both the Southern film industries, having starred in a number of films including Tamil blockbusters such as "Thuppakki" and "Maattraan", and hit Telugu film "Magadheera" for which she was nominated for Best Actress.

However, could her recent comments affect her signings in Kollywood? Speaking to the Times of India, the 27-year-old said she prefers the Telugu industry because "women are respected more than they are in the Tamil film industry."

"In Tamil cinema, they only care about their hero, who is God," she continued. "Of course, I don’t give a shit and go and sit my van."

The actress – who is of Punjabi descent – did go on to say that she enjoyed working with Ilayathalapathy Vijay in "Thuppakki", as she liked the way he was "friendly, but not over-friendly".

We wonder whether Tamil directors and producers will think twice about signing Kajal now…what do you think? Does she have a fair point in saying that the Tamil film industry pays more attention to the heroes than the leading ladies?
